Step 1: You call toll free
Call (833) 917-4160. Tell the operator your city and ZIP code, what type of property it is, what happened and whether the fire department has cleared the building.
Step 2: We connect you
The call is connected to an independent restoration company that covers your area. If the first company is unavailable, the operator may try another.
Step 3: The company explains the plan
The company inspects the property and should explain its scope, timeline and cost in writing before work begins. Ask about its license, insurance, training and how it works with your insurer. Our hiring checklist lists what to ask.
Step 4: Cleanup, restoration and repair
Work can include board up, water removal, soot and smoke cleaning, odor treatment, contents cleaning and rebuilding. You approve the scope and your insurer reviews it where a claim applies.
What it costs to use this site
